Welcome to the official website of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Omicron Zeta Chapter. On behalf of the over 70 members of Omicron Zeta Chapter, I invite you to peruse our website to see our upcoming events and find out more information about the ladies of Omicron Zeta!
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. on January 16, 1920. Since its inception, our members have been committed to uphold the ideals of Service, Scholarship, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.
On August 15, 1935, Omicron Zeta Chapter was chartered in the basement of St. Ambrose Episcopal Church by seven phenomenal women. The “Outstanding” Omicron Zeta Chapter is a community conscious, action-oriented organization charged with Helping Other People Excel.
Since its chartering, the chapter has provided numerous volunteer hours to educate the public, assist youth, support organized charities, and promote legislation for social and civic change. Omicron Zeta Chapter regularly partners with the March of Dimes (March for Babies), Passage Home, Inc., Garner Road Community Center, and other Greek Letter Organizations of the Greater Raleigh Area, just to name a few. For the past 73 years, Omicron Zeta Chapter has awarded more than $250,000 to high school graduates who have been accepted into accredited colleges and universities.
Now, more than ever, our community needs us. Although we are in the midst of a global pandemic, our work must continue. We know it, but we hope you will agree that "There's No Place Like OZ".
Yours in Service,
Yasmin Morton-Moses, Esq.
