Greetings,
Welcome to the official website of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Omicron Zeta Chapter. On behalf of the over 70 members of Omicron Zeta Chapter, I invite you to peruse our website to see our upcoming events and find out more information about the ladies of Omicron Zeta!
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. on January 16, 1920. Since its inception, our members have been committed to upholding the ideals of Service, Scholarship, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.
On August 15, 1935, Omicron Zeta Chapter was chartered in the basement of St. Ambrose Episcopal Church by seven phenomenal women. The “Outstanding” Omicron Zeta Chapter is a community conscious, action-oriented chapter charged with Helping Other People Excel.
Since its chartering, the chapter has provided numerous volunteer hours to educate the public, assist youth, support organized charities, and promote legislation for social and civic change. Omicron Zeta Chapter regularly partners with the March of Dimes (March for Babies), Sanderford Road Community Center, and other Greek Letter Organizations of the Greater Raleigh Area; just to name a few.
Referred to as the "Mother of the East" by the 18th North Carolina State Director, Omicron Zeta is the oldest and most established chapter in our area and one of the oldest chapters in the Sorority. We know it, but we hope that you will agree that "There's No Place Like OZ".
Yours in Service,
Rosalyn Dobbin
Omicron Zeta Chapter President
